Popular areas to stay in the Green Kalahari

The most well known town in the Green Kalahari is Upington, however there are quite a few other towns, namely: Andriesvale, Augrabies, and Postmasburg. Most people will visit Augrabies as it has the Augrabies Falls. The reason the area is called the Green Kalahari is because although the land is semi arid desert, as the Orange River flows through it, on the banks it is amazingly lush and fertile.

Things to do in the Green Kalahari

As we said above, most people make their way to the Augrabies Falls. They are in the Augrabies Falls National Park.
