Margate info

Margate is the ubiquitus town by the sea. It is a very popular tourism spot for South African�s especially for those from more inland, such as Johannesburg. There are lovely long beaches, shopping centres, coffee shops, plenty of restaurants and quite a few pubs and clubs. Margate is busiest during December, Easter and any/all school vacations. There are many accommodation options and include bed and breakfasts, camping sites and lodges. Things to do in Margate: Visit the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, if you are in Margate between June-Aug, you can see the Sardine Run. Go river rafting, abseiling, on a gorge swing, scuba diving and of course visit the beautiful beach.
