Plettenberg Bay is often called the ‘jewel’ of the Garden Route. It is a place so stunning that it was actually initially named “Bahia Formosa” by the Portugese explorers which means ‘beautiful bay’. The coastline is very long and wide and the beaches simply awesome. There is also a magnificent forest that is a must see. Plett gets very busy between November and January, and is a very popular spot for school leavers enjoying their vacation after matric exams.
