Washington offers the perfect combination of bustling, city life and outdoor recreation. Washington DC, with its stately government buildings, is easily recognizable as the USA’s capital city. The city is mainly based on government activities and there is an abundance of monuments and museums. The state is bordered by Canada and the Pacific Ocean, and it has the second-highest population of any western state. The city centre is minutes away from beautiful parks and nature reserves, and the beaches offer a great way to get away from the city bustle and just relax.
