Cheap New York Flights
Many will say you would be hard-pressed to
find any other city as grand as New York. Besides being the global
financial capital, the Big Apple offers a huge diversity of culture and
entertainment is its population far outweighs all other US
metropolises. It is said that the city of New York never sleeps, and
you will be spoilt for choice by the vast restaurants, nightspots and
theatre venues on offer. The epicenter of the city is considered by
many to be Manhattan island – four other distinct areas surround
Manhattan, namely the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
Although remnants of 9/11, when the USA suffered its worst ever
terrorist attack, still hang over the city, New York has rebuilt itself
into the buzzing metropolis it has always been and is still a force to
be reckoned with.

Places to Visit in New York
Perhaps the most famous New York landmark is
the Statue of Liberty. The statue was donated by the people of France
in 1886 and is the ultimate symbol of the American Dream. Although the
crown and torch are no longer accessible to tourists, the statue can be
viewed through a glass ceiling and there is also an observation deck.
Just as famous is the World Trade Centre/Ground Zero site. In 2006,
construction began here on Freedom Tower; a memorial to replace the
Trade Centre and pay homage to the tragedy that took place here on 11
September 2001. The Empire State Building is iconic of the New York
skyline and has once again reclaimed its title of the city’s
tallest building. The skyscraper is 102 storey’s high and there
are observatories on the 86th and 102nd floors. There are a number of
impressive museums in and around the city, including the Museum of
Modern Art, the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum
of Art. Central Park is another New York icon worth visiting. This
oasis in the midst of the city is situated in the middle of Manhattan
and offers a welcome escape to many tired New Yorkers and tourists
alike.
