Places to Visit in Dubai
Because of the abundance of sunshine and the sandy white shores, Dubai’s beaches are a perfect hangout. Tourists flock here to escape the constant heat and share in the beauty of the coastline. If a bit of retail therapy is called for, then Dubai is definitely your place. There are shopping malls scattered throughout the region, but some luxury malls such as the Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre are a real treat to visit. Just remember that most salespeople expect to be bartered with so don’t take the prices at face value. The Dubai shopping festival every January is also a huge tourist draw card. If you do happen to visit the Mall of the Emirates, the indoor ski slope will astound you. Here, full-scale skiing and snowboarding are regular occurrences in the mall. For a bit of an adrenaline rush, an experienced driver can load you up in an SUV and take you out to the sand dunes. Here four wheel driving and dune bashing are culminated in a luxury dinner – a great day excursion. Dubai also houses world-class golf courses as well as Wild Wadi, the country’s very own water park.
