Cheap Manchester Flights
Initial expectations of Manchester were that it would be one of the world’s major industrial cities. By the time the Industrial Revolution hit, Manchester was a well-respected industrial hub and a major influence in the cotton industry. The city however fell on hard times and the economy went into bad decline. Following this, the IRA detonated a devastating bomb that ripped the city centre apart in 1996. This devastation, however, led to the rebirth of the city. Money was pumped into Manchester to regenerate it and the city grew rapidly enough to hold the Commonwealth Games in 2002. Modern-day Manchester is a fusion of youth and trendiness. The student population is among the largest in Europe, and the city is well known for its thriving gay community. There is a fabulous art scene and many bands, including Oasis and the Smiths, hail from Manchester. Football is another area where Manchester can boast, with Manchester United being one of the most famous football teams worldwide. Book a flight to Manchester UK
