New Zealand Flights
New Zealand consists of 2 islands surrounded
by a handful of smaller islands, all of breathtaking beauty. The
extreme eco-diversity encompasses beautiful beaches, rainforests,
volcanic pools, glacier-fed lakes, and an array of plant and
animal-life. It’s easy to see why it made the perfect backdrop
for the Lord of The Rings movies and has tourists flocking there on an
ongoing basis. The main islands are named the North Island and the
South Island and are separated by Cook Strait. The northern part of
North Island houses the country’s largest city, Auckland. About
240 km south of Auckland is the volcanic town of Rotorua – this
area see’s tourists flocking to the geysers, pools of boiling
mud, springs of hot mineral water, silica terraces, colored craters and
hissing fumaroles. The southern island is larger but is dominated by
the Southern Alps which extend the whole length of the island, meaning
that only about one third of the population lives there. Getting around
New Zealand is quick and easy as the country has placed emphasis on
having an efficient transport system. The wildlife is a definite
attraction but for those after something a little different, the
country also has an extremely rich wine culture. Employment in the
country is excellent, with estimated unemployment rates being a
miniscule 3.5%.
Places to Visit in New Zealand
New Zealand is amazing in it’s
diversity. It’s hard to find a more romantic or breathtaking
getaway than Milford Sound. The steep granite cliffs give rise to
cascading waterfalls over the mountaintops, and the abundant lakes make
it a perfect honeymoon location. Tauranga is another natural
attraction, where white beaches give rise to swimming, surfing and a
whole range of other water sports. It is also the host of an annual
National Arts Festival for anyone wanting to feed their more artistic
needs. Those with a bit of an adventurous streak may want to pay a
visit to Queenstown. Regarded by many as the adventure capital of the
world, Queenstown offers Bungee Jumping, Jet boating and skiing. There
are also a number of walking trails for those who prefer to keep their
feet planted firmly on the ground New Zealand’s largest city,
Auckland, is also a definite must-see. The vibrant city brings together
different cultures and features museums, shops and the Viaduct harbour.
And when you need to relax and rejuvenate, Rotorua is the place to go.
The world-famous mud-pools and geysers see tourists flocking to hot
springs spa capital of the South Pacific.
Airports in New Zealand
Because of the size and popularity of the
islands, New Zealand has many airports scattered throughout the
country. The 2 main international airports, however, are Christchurch

Airport in Palmerston North, Queenstown Airport in Queenstown and
Wellington International Airport in Wellington are also major airports
offering international facilities but their services are more limited
than the other 2. There are also numerous local airports throughout New
