Cheap Zambia Flights

Zambia is raw Africa. There are large wilderness plains, an abundance of wildlife, vast lakes and wetlands and 17 major waterfalls. Sharing the Victoria Falls with Zimbabwe and housing the spectacular Zambezi River, Zambia attracts both nature lovers and thrill seekers. When not marveling at the natural scenery, you can go canoeing, river rafting or tiger fishing. With almost one-third of the country given over to national parks and game reserves, you’re bound to catch a glimpse of big game and too many species of birds to count. Zambia is a land-locked country and caution has to be given in terms of one of its neighbours. The Democratic Republic of Congo borders the country to the North and this border area should be avoided as there is a risk of landmines. The capital city is Lusaka and, although more than 80 languages are spoken throughout, Zambia’s primary language is English.

Places to Visit in Zambia

Zambia is described by many as “real”  Africa. The abundance of national parks and game reserves means that this is the ideal location for walking safaris. In fact, a Zambian safari that concludes with a stay at one of the magnificent hotels at the Victoria Falls comes as one of the most highly recommended African Safari options. The Victoria Falls, also known as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ (‘The smoke that thunders’) is a favourite for exquisite views, sundowner cruises and top class accommodation. Zambia is home to one of the largest game reserves in the world. A visit to Kafue National Park will reveal the ‘big 5’ as well as a huge range of other animals, vegetation, and over 400 different species of birds. And for those with a bit of an adventurous streak, the Zambezi River is among the top rated canoe safari regions and river rafting is a favourite here.
