One of the main attractions drawing tourists
to Swaziland is the country’s colourful and vibrant craft
markets. There are endless rows of vendors and all sorts of treats and
treasures can be found. The top quality resorts and hotels are also a
great plus. Whether you’re on a budget or looking for a real
splurge, there is always a perfect solution for you with great extras
such as a golf course, horse riding, spas, craft markets and a casino.
Swaziland is well known for its Game reserves, and the Mkhaya Game
Reserve definitely deserves a visit. Considered to be one of the
country’s most interesting reserves, Mkhaya has become a refuge
for endangered species and animals such as the black and white rhino
roam throughout. For something a little more vibrant, Swaziland’s
capital city, Mbabane, is a great option. Here there is a hub of
activity and everywhere you look you’re surrounded by markets and
people.
Airports in Swaziland
The majority of airports in Swaziland are
private and unpaved. There is however one exception to this rule.
Matsapha Airport in Manzini is the main commercial airfield and has
international status. This airport is due to be replaced by Sikhuphe
International Airport in 2010. Some of Swazilands other airports
include Ubombo in Big Bend, Mbabane Airport in Mbabane, Simunye
Airstrip in Simunye and Tambankula Airstrip in Tambankula.
