Which airlines fly from Port Elizabeth to Durban
Unfortunately there are no low cost flights between Port Elizabeth and Durban, which means if you are looking for cheap flights, you are out of luck. You can book a flight on kulula‘s website but it will be with British Airways (which is also operated by Comair). The one good thing about the Port Elizabeth Durban flight route is that at least a direct flights is possible, as often with smaller cities (such as George etc.), direct flights do not exist, and you would need to fly via a central hub like Johannesburg.
So you can fly British Airways direct, indirectly via Johannesburg with SAA, or indirectly via Johannesburg or Cape Town with Mango airways.
Typical prices for flights from Port Elizabeth to Durban
As you are able to fly directly from Port Elizabeth to Durban directly, prices are a little more “palatable” than the lesser popular domestic routes. For a return flight per person, you can find a flight for around R3500. If you look at the indirect flights, you can expect to find them for around R4000 per person return.
How to get cheap flights from Port Elizabeth to Durban
If you are looking for a cheap flight between Port Elizabeth and Durban, you are really going to battle, as none of the low cost airlines fly the route directly. Both kulula and Mango do fly to and from Port Elizabeth, but they do so from either Johannesburg or Cape Town (or both), and not from Durban.
As such the only way to get a cheaper flight would be to look out for a special. These do not come across often, but they do every now and then. My advice would be to join our newsletter, or to keep an eye on our flight specials page, which is updated weekly.
