Looking for cheap flights? Luckily for us, the South
African flight market has been hotting up, with competition
at an all time high. This is great news for the consumer,
as we have the airlines bidding for our attention, and
of course our wallets!
The three low-cost airlines currently operating in
South Africa are:
However, you can often find the other "full-service"
airlines offering great deals to try and compete with
these cheaper airlines. There are a few things you should
note if you are going to book a low-cost (cheap airline).
Firstly, they can sometimes only show you the price
excluding airport tax to appear cheaper. So just ensure
that the price you are looking at is the total price.
Also, bring your own snacks and bottle of water, as
they are not provided for free. You can buy them on
the flight but they are very overpriced, as literally,
you have no where else to go.
Another potential issue with the cheap airlines is
that they are not always as on-time and/or frequent
as the larger airlines. However, if you are willing
to be quite flexible, then you can make some great savings.
If you are now ready, book
your flight
