British Airways strike called off - 2009-12-18

British Airways staff strike no more
As we reported earlier, British Airways staff were planning on striking over this Christmas period. The strike was planned for 12 days and would have affected 90 000 passengers per day (or 650 flights p/day). BA sought help in preventing the strike by going to court and the British High Court granted an emergency injunction against the unions. The injunction was based on a technicality and no doubt the strike will take place at a later stage (possibly after February), but atleast Christmas has been rescued.
