Car Rental Companies in SA doing well
Last year was a bit of a tough year for car rental companies (along with most other companies) not only in South Africa, but worldwide.
However it seems that since 2010 began, a few of the major car rental companies in South Africa are seeing an increase in demand. So much so, that this past week, there was a shortage of cars to hire in Johannesburg. Article here
Many car rental companies are hoping to also capitalise on the soccer world cup and are preparing to increase the size of their fleets to meet the estimated increase in demand. Europcar, for example, believes that it might increase its fleet size by as much as 20%. |
