The Baz Bus (www.bazbus.co.za) is the only way to explore South Africa, especially the Garden Route. But what exactly is the Baz Bus?
All Airlines have a section in their terms and conditions called the Contract of Carriage. This defines the rules and requirements of the airline concerned as regards flights being delayed and/or cancelled. Although the contract of carriage should be in the terms and conditions that you would receive from the airline, they may also only refer to it in the terms and conditions. In this instance, you have the right to request the contract of carriage and this must be made available to you any where you can purchase tickets, including Travel Agents and the Airport.
The Baz Bus is a bus transport service, but with a few major differences. The Baz bus co za has been set up for independent travellers looking to explore South Africa safely and conveniently. It is mainly a tourist bus for like minded travellers. It will also drop you off directly at your hostel (can't get better than that).
BazBus Route
The baz bus (www.bazbus.com) operates a few different routes. These are Johannesburg-Durban-Port Elizabeth-Cape Town.
Cape Town-Port Elizabeth-Durban-Johannesburg
Johannesburg-Swaziland-Durban-Port Elizabeth-Cape Town
Baz Bus Ticket Options
The Hop-on Hop-off is the most popular option. This allows you to buy one ticket to your final destination, and then hop-off the bus as oftn as you like. The bus will drop you off directly at your hotel as well. The great thing with this option is that you can stay in each area for as long as you like, and so the journey can take as long as you want it to. There is no time limit.
The next option is the Travel Pass. This is similar to the Hop-on Hop-off option, except that there is a time limit. You ca choose from either a 7 day pass, 14 day pass, or a 21 day pass. These work out to be cheaper than the hop-on and off option.
A Felxi Tour option combines a Baz Bus ticket, with some cultural day tours, and an excellent African Safari.
Finally there is the Day Tour of the Cape Peninsula. This is a quick tour around Camps Bay, hout Bay, Chapmans Peak, Boulders Beach and Cape Point.
