branched out to start delivering air mail. From there the natural
progression lead to the airline start operating as a passenger airline.
Delta Airways has its main headquarters in Atlanta.
Delta airlines merged with Northwest airlines in 2008 to create the
worlds largest commercial airline. DElta operate only Boeing Aircraft,
although following the merger with Northwest they will also have a few
Airbus. They currently have 450 airplanes.
